Savi partners to tap into India market
Savi Technology and India-based AVAANA Systems and Services have entered into a strategic partnership to develop active radio frequency identification (RFID)-based services and products to prospective government and commercial customers in India, Savi said last week.
“The regional partnership was developed to leverage the technology expertise and geographic knowledge base of the two companies in delivering state-of-the-art, real-time solutions that enhance the visibility, management, security and efficiency of supply chains in India, especially in the government, defense, homeland security and transportation sectors,” Savi said in a statement.
Under the partnership, AVAANA will tailor services for Savi products in India.
'There is tremendous interest in India to capitalize on the proven benefits of active RFID, and Savi Technology clearly has distinguished itself as a world leader and innovator in this field,' said Bimal Sareen, chief executive officer of New Delhi-based AVAANA. 'From defense and homeland security to transportation and port infrastructure, the opportunities to apply active RFID solutions with Savi in India are diverse and vast.'
