SCHENKER APPOINTS VICE PRESIDENT OF SEA FREIGHT
Schenker, Inc. has appointed Tom Daunais vice president, sea freight. Daunais was vice president of ocean services for GeoLogistics International in New York.
Daunais will concentrate his efforts on streamlining the ocean department’s processes. He will also assist the sales team in obtaining new accounts through better pricing with ocean service contracts, as well as seeking other alternatives.
An initial primary focus for Daunais will be to implement an automated quotation program in conjunction with information technology, sales and other related departments.
Daunais will be located at the corporate headquarters of Schenker USA in Freeport, New York.
