Schenker building facilities in Finland

Schenker building facilities in Finland

DB Schenker Logistics said it will invest about $58 million in a new hub and corporate office in Finland, near the Helsinki-Vantaa Airport, the country’s largest.

In addition, logistics facilities are being built in neighboring Kiila, because the company said its current location in Mets'l', does not offer room for further expansion and is being converted into a residential area by the local government.

Karl Nutzinger, the Schenker management board member responsible for European land transport, said the investment would strengthen the company’s market position in Finland. He said it was one of the biggest investments in a new location in the history of the company.
