SCHENKER NAMED “LOGISTICS INTEGRATOR” BY DUPONT (ASIA PACIFIC)

SCHENKER NAMED “LOGISTICS INTEGRATOR” BY DUPONT (ASIA PACIFIC)

   DuPont (Asia Pacific) has signed a contract with Schenker to appoint the German logistics and forwarding group “logistics integrator” for air and sea freight in the Asia Pacific region.
   Implementation of the agreement will be on a country-by-country basis and is expected to be completed this year, Schenker said.
   Schenker will provide customs clearance services and manage export shipments from manufacturing plants and warehouses within Asia Pacific.
   Schenker and DuPont will work together “to achieve jointly agreed service parameters and delivery improvements in the logistics process,” Schenker said. Process improvements will target delivery, reliability and transparency of supply chain information.
   To support the project, Schenker will enhance its tracking and tracing systems with other information technology initiatives.
