Schenker opens Swiss logistics terminal
International forwarding and logistics company Schenker has opened a CHF17 million ($13.6 million) logistics terminal in Eiken, Switzerland.
The Eiken site replaces a facility in Pratteln, near Basel. The new terminal has a transshipment hall covering 2,000 square meters and a 1,000-square-meter logistics storage area, including 1,800 pallet slots.
Schenker is a part of DB Logistics, the transportation and logistics division of German rail and transportation services group Deutsche Bahn.
