Schneider National introduces new pay package for drivers

   Schneider National Inc., a truckload carrier and logistics service provider, has announced a new compensation package for drivers and owner operators that will take effect Feb. 1.

   The pay changes will include increases in mileage and accessorial pay. The average pay increase for company drivers is between $1,500 and $2,500 per year for solo drivers and between $3,500 and $4,500 per year for team drivers, depending on levels of experience.

   Solo owner operators will receive an increase in annual compensation of $2,500 to $3,500, while team owner operators will receive $3,500 to $4,500 more on an annual basis

   Schneider National, which has about 15,000 drivers and operators, plans to add 1,000 more in 2004.
