Schneider National raises pay for drivers, owner-operators
Schneider National Inc., a provider of transportation and logistics services, has announced the largest pay increase for truck drivers and owner-operators of trucking rigs in the company's 70-year history, effective Feb. 6.
Schneider's drivers will receive an average increase of $4,000 a year, new short-haul premiums, and increased non-driver provisions, such as detention pay.
The company's new package for owner-operators increases linehaul rates to 90 cents a mile plus fuel surcharge, and provides savings opportunities on business expenses.
Based in Green Bay, Wis., Schneider employs about 15,000 drivers and owner operators.
