SCHNEIDER NATIONAL UNVEILS CARRIER PORTAL    Schneider National Inc., the Green Bay, Wis.-based trucking company has launched a Web-enabled carrier portal: https://www.SchneiderCarriers.com.
   The new site gives Schneider’s 6,300 carrier partners “access to a subset of Schneider’s available freight,” allowing Schneider “to cover overflow freight which does not fit traditional flows in its network,” the company said.
   Through a feature called My Capacity, truck carriers post their available equipment. Schneider then automatically searches for loads that match a particular carrier’s needs, and them posts them to that carrier’s capacity Web page.
   According to Linda Beth, vice president of e-business solutions at Schneider, the portal — which started Oct. 1 with only freight search capability — has been drawing 47,000 hits a week.
