Schneider taps Velocity for auto parts distribution

Schneider taps Velocity for auto parts distribution    Schneider Logistics, an arm of national truckload carrier Schneider National, will rely on courier Velocity Express Corp. for overnight parts deliveries to an automobile manufacturer’s dealer network in five eastern states.
   Velocity’s announcement did not identify the automobile manufacturer involved, but General Motors Service Parts Organization, the carmaker’s marketing arm for replacement parts and accessories,    is one of Schneider Logistics largest customers.
   Minneapolis-based Velocity said it would deliver parts to more than 250 dealerships in North Carolina, South Carolina, West Virginia, Virginia and Tennessee from a new distribution facility in North Carolina.
