SCI reveals expansion plans
Shipping Corporation of India is planning to expand into land logistics, according to a report in India’s Business Standard.
The daily newspaper reports that SCI “is planning to foray into land logistics by setting up Inland Container Depots (ICDs) and Container Freight Stations (CFSs).”
The state-owned company has also drawn plans to acquire four box vessels for $300 million and has also expressed interest in a fourth container terminal in Mumbai, said the Business Standard.
