SDV Logistics picks ?Rate Explorer? software

SDV Logistics picks ôRate Explorerö software    SDV International Logistics USA, a provider of freight forwarding and supply chain services, has contracted with Management Dynamics Inc., a provider of transportation management technology, for software to expedite SDV's ocean pricing operations.
   SDV Logistics will use Management Dynamics's 'Rate Explorer' application for buy-side contract cost management and sell-side pricing automation. The software will also be used to optimize booking decisions and to audit freight bills.
   'Our customers' demand for fast turnaround of rate requests that detail alternative cost-service scenarios simply could not be supported with the use of spreadsheets and paper contracts,' said Bertrand Ducasse, maritime manager for SDV International Logistics in the United States.
   'Rate Explorer allows our sales and pricing organization to respond faster with differentiated proposals to help customers make cost-service tradeoff decisions,' Ducasse said.
   SDV International Logistics, a ranking European logistics provider, is a subsidiary of the Bollore Group. Management Dynamics is based in East Rutherford, N.J.
