Frank Peake, Sea Star Line president for the past six years, will join its parent company, American Shipping Group, as vice president.

Peake will focus on strategic planning for all ASG companies:
' Sea Star, which offers service between Jacksonville and Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; La Porte, Texas; and Philadelphia to Puerto Rico.
' Totem Ocean Trailer Express, which operates a liner service between the Port of Tacoma, Wash., and Port of Anchorage, Alaska.
' Interocean American Shipping, a technical ship management and ship crewing company.
These companies are part of the Saltchuk Resources, a Seattle-based firm with some 20 independent operating companies.
Steve Hastings has been appointed president of Sea Star Line, where he has held a number of jobs since 1996, serving as vice president of operations for the last two years.
Tim Engle, American Shipping Group chairman, said Peake will assist in shaping ASG's strategic vision.
