Sea Star continues transition toward future Following up on its moves aimed at positioning the company for the future, Sea Star Line today is implementing additional organizational changes to improve its core business of serving the Puerto Rico trade.
   Carl Fox was named senior vice president of sales, marketing and customer service, reporting directly to Sea Star president and chief operating officer Frank Peake.

   Neil Perlmutter, the current senior vice president, finance, and chief financial officer, will assume leadership of the company's Information Technology and System group, while retaining his current responsibilities.

   Fox joined Sea Star in April 2003. Prior to Sea Star, he was group controller with United States Lines, director of strategic planning and new business development with Crowley Maritime Corporation, and executive vice president for Navieras NPR Inc. Fox's most recent role with Sea Star was senior vice president of information technology, customer service and intermodal operations.
   Perlmutter joined Sea Star Line in October 2004 as senior vice president and chief financial officer. Prior to joining Sea Star, Neil held a variety of financial management positions at Sea-Land, CSX Lines and Horizon Lines.
