Sea Star said rates for 40- and 45-foot containers moving between the U.S. Virgin Islands and Port Elizabeth, N.J., and Houston, will increase to $470 from $430.
For shipments between the U.S. Virgin Islands and the ports of Jacksonville, Port Everglades and San Juan, the fee will increase to $415 (from $390) for 20-foot containers, $460 (from $430) for 40- and 45-foot containers, and $495 (from $460) for 48- and 53-foot containers.
