Sea Star Line gets new containers and chassis
U.S. Jones Act carrier Sea Star Line is taking delivery of 300 new containers and 175 chassis.
New refrigerated equipment and the initial group of 53-foot containers have been delivered to the company in Jacksonville. The remaining new containers and chassis will be deployed by Aug. 1.
Sea Star said its new container equipment will comprise 100 53-f00t boxes, 100 40-foot boxes, 50 20-footers and 50 45-footers.
Sea Star Line provides cargo transportation services from North America to Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
