SEA STAR PLANS FEEDER SERVICE TO DOMINICAN REPUBLIC

   Sea Star Line, LLC, an ocean carrier based in Jacksonville, Fla, said it will begin service to and from the Dominican Republic simultaneously with its purchase of the assets of Navieras/NPR Inc.

   The new feeder service, based in San Juan, Puerto Rico, will have twice-weekly sailings, according to Mike Shea, president of Sea Star. The carrier’s agent in the Dominican Republic will be E.T. Heinsen C. for A.

   Sea Star serves the continental United States, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The company has additional offices in San Juan, Port Everglades, and St. Thomas.
