Seabury launches ocean database
   Seabury Cargo Advisory has launched a new global ocean database that it said “provides insight into global ocean trade volumes per commodity type, in weight and number of TEUs.”
   Seabury Group is a global investment banking and advisory practice serving aviation, aerospace and cargo. Seabury Cargo Advisory is part of the company’s consulting division.
   The company said the database’s uniqueness “lies in the combination of exceptionally up-to-date information on all global country-to-country flows, and the split of containerized, bulk and liquid cargo. Furthermore the type of cargo can further be analyzed through the use of 2,000 different commodity descriptions. Updates are provided on a monthly basis.”
   Seabury said initial customers include Maersk Line, MOL and the Port of Rotterdam.
