SeaCargo Americas set to kick off in Miami

The SeaCargo Americas conference in Miami kicks off Sunday with a reception at the host Radisson Miami Hotel in downtown Miami and hits full swing Monday morning with opening ceremonies and the first of a series of seminars and panel discussions.

The two main days of the conference will cover maritime subjects in the Americas and will feature executives from numerous shipping lines in the Latin America and Caribbean trades, as well as port and government agency officials.

The conference is being organized by the World Trade Center Miami and is sponsored by the Port of Miami and several shipping lines and logistics-related companies, as well as Port Everglades.

At Monday morning's opening ceremonies, Jos' Perez-Jones, chairman of the World Trade Center Miami and senior vice president at Seaboard Marine, and Bill Johnson, director of the Port of Miami, will be the speakers.

The sessions run through Tuesday afternoon at the Radisson.
