SeaFreight lowering bunker charge

Miami-based SeaFreight Line says it will reduce its bunker surcharge effective December 3.

The surcharge will decrease from $144 to $120 for 20-foot containers, from $272 to $224 for 40-foot containers, from $309 to $255 for 45-foot containers, and from $6 per weight or measure unit to $5 for breakbulk cargo.    The reductions will apply to service contracts for cargo moving from the U.S. to Aruba, Barbados, Bonaire, Curacao, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica, St. Lucia, St. Vincent, Suriname, Trinidad & Tobago, and Venezuela.
