SEARS CONTRACTS WITH EXEL FOR HOME-DELIVERY OPERATIONS    Sears Logistics Services Inc. and Sears Contract Sales, units of Sears, Roebuck, have contracted with Exel Direct, a product fulfillment unit of Exel, for managing home delivery services.
   Sears Logistics Services (SLS) will use Exel Direct to manage delivery operations from SLS distribution centers in Sylmar and Bakersfield, Calif.; Colchester, Vt., and Livonia, Mich.
   Sears Contract Sales, which coordinates large-item deliveries, such as appliances, to builders, apartment owners and leasing companies, has signed with Exel Direct to manage deliveries in Houston and San Antonio, Texas; Chattanooga and Knoxville, Tenn.; and San Leandro, Calif.
   Terms of the new contracts were not disclosed.
