Itasca, Ill.-based SEKO Logistics has named James Gagne as president, effective Jan. 1, taking over for William Wascher.
Wascher, who remains the largest independent shareholder of SEKO, will remain as CEO until January 2018, when he becomes chairman of the board. Gagne will then hold both titles.
Gagne joined SEKO in 2014 as chief operating officer for the Asia Pacific, based in Hong Kong. He spent 20 years in the region holding executive positions with third-party logistics providers Agility, Schenker/BAX and Maersk.
The transition is part of SEKO’s long-term succession plan.
