Located close to Dublin International Airport, the office serves all of Ireland and handles import/export shipping by air and ocean, and provides customs brokerage and time-definite ground transportation.
'SEKO's expansion into the Celtic Tiger is a significant component in the continuing development of our global logistics network,' said William Wascher, SEKO’s president and chief executive officer.
'Its growing number of foreign investors and improved economy has resulted in many large investments in modernizing the Irish infrastructure and cities. The country is also in a strategic location on major air and sea routes between North America and Europe and represents a rapidly growing trade base.”
SEKO was formed as a private organization in late 2002 after acquisition from U.S. Freightways. The enterprise has expanded through an international network of strategic partners in which all offices are locally owned and operated. It has achieved an average growth rate of 25 percent per year since 2002, while expanding from 41 stations in North America to 58 locations and opened operations in more than 40 countries worldwide. Revenues have increased from about $124 million in 2002 to an estimated $280 million for this year.
