   The forwarding and logistics services company SEKO has opened a new and upgraded office in San Francisco, enhances its presence there from a corporate station to one of its new 'strategic partnership' centers with a broader range of services.
   SEKO said the San Francisco facility, located near the recently expanded San Francisco International Airport, provides full-service freight forwarding operations and logistics services for Northern California. It is one of many strategic partner offices being opened domestically and internationally by the Itasca, Ill.-based company.
   The managing director of the San Francisco office is Cynthia Wright. She began her forwarding career as president and owner of World Transport Services in 1997. Prior to that, she was area sales manager for Unishippers, a small package shipping business. At SEKO, Wright will be managing a diverse client base shipping a range of products, including computer components, games, clothing and medical devices. The San Francisco office will handle primarily trade with Asia and Europe.
