SEKO selects Scott to lead trade compliance

   Sandra Scott, a cross-border trade expert, has joined third-party logistics provider SEKO Worldwide as senior director of compliance.
   Scott will be in charge of global import and export compliance for the Itasca, Ill.-based company's 100 offices around the world. Other areas of responsibility include supply chain security, regulatory strategy, and customer education.
   Scott worked until earlier this year as vice president of trade compliance for TradeMerit Corp., which offers Web-based trade compliance programs. Before that she was director of international relations for Yellow Roadway Corp., (now known as YRC Worldwide). During her career she served on the Department of Homeland Security's Commercial Operations Advisory Committee, has been a trade ambassador for Customs and Border Protection's Automated Commercial Environment, and is current co-chairman of CBP's Trade Support Network and the International Trade Data System, a multiagency information-sharing project.
