SEMICONDUCTOR MANUFACTURER SIGNS LOGISTICS DEAL WITH U-FREIGHT    Siliconix, a manufacturer of discrete power semiconductors, has signed a five-year contract worth $5 million with U-Freight to provide supply chain services.
   Siliconix, a subsidiary of Vishay Intertechnology Inc., will use U-Freight's logistics center in Singapore as a management hub to serve multiple production and distribution points throughout the world.
   U-Freight will manage Vishay Siliconix'
s inbound processing, product storage, consolidation, inventory management, time-definite services and onwards distribution requirements working with multiple carriers.
   U-Freight has assigned 28 staffers to handle the contract demands.
