Senate confirms Dorkey to St. Lawrence Seaway board

Senate confirms Dorkey to St. Lawrence Seaway board The U.S. Senate has confirmed attorney Charles E. “Trip” Dorkey III to the five-member Saint Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation (SLSDC) Advisory Board.
   Dorkey is a partner in the U.S.-Canadian law firm of Torys LLP.
   The board advises the Seaway administrator on policies affecting the overall effective operation and development of the St. Lawrence Seaway.
   “I look forward to working with new Seaway Administrator Terry Johnson
and his staff on a number of key marine transportation issues, including the upcoming Great Lakes Seaway study that is expected to be ready for public release in 2007, marketing initiatives, and environmental challenges,” Dorkey said.
