Senator Lines transfers French agency duties to Isamar

Senator Lines transfers French agency duties to Isamar Senator Lines, the German subsidiary of Korea's Hanjin Shipping, has transferred its agency duties in France, previously carried out by its own branch offices, to Spain's Isamar.
   Valencia-based Isamar has for many years served as Senator Lines' agents in Spain and has 22 branches in Southern Europe. Under terms of the arrangement, the agency will operate at the ocean carrier's previous locations in Le Havre, Marseilles and Paris, taking on 18 former Senator Lines staff.
   Antonio Prat, Isamar's general manager and member of the central management board, is taking over representation for Senator Lines in France.
      The arrangement with Isamar is part of Senator Lines' cost-cutting program 'Concept 2007,' introduced at the end of last year to improve the carrier's struggling financial performance by trimming its staff and liner service offerings.
