According to a statement from the company, “The three Hyster® H1050HD-CH trucks are ideally suited for ports and terminals, providing outstanding lifting capacity and superior performance.”
“Engineered for heavy duty container handling applications, the H1050-1150HD-CH series comes standard with an integral mounted spreader capable of handling both 20-foot and 40-foot ISO and domestic containers,” said Hyster. “The spreader allows either mechanical or powered pile sloping while providing power slewing, gantry spreader sideshift and automatic twistlock functions using four pendular twistlocks that engage containers.”
Nordic air cargo carrier Finnair Cargo signed an agreement to participate in IAG Cargo’s Partner Plus program, an “enhanced version” of interline cooperation. According to Finnair, this means that both IAG Cargo and Finnair will be able to deliver enhanced network connectivity to their customers, who will also benefit through confirmed bookings and a higher on-load priority.
With the expanded route availability via London (LHR) and Madrid (MAD) airports from the IAG network, Finnair Cargo customers will gain access to markets in South and North America as well as Africa.
For IAG Cargo, the addition of Finnair to the Partner Plus program will provide additional capacity across the globe, including to Finnair’s strategic destinations in North East Asia.
Six air freight carriers currently participate in the Partner Plus program including Qatar Airways, Japan Airlines, the Avianca group and American Airlines.
Xiaomi, the world’s third largest smartphone manufacturer, tapped global supply chain management company CEVA Logistics to operate their warehouse and distribution in Malaysia.
CEVA will manage the 1,500-square-meter e-commerce distribution center, which houses Xiaomi’s smartphone handsets and accessories, offering receiving, checking, storage, orders picking process and packaging services, as well as all shipping across the country.
According to a statement from CEVA, “Xiaomi’s unique business strategy of selling products directly to consumers, primarily through their online site, Mi.com requires the company to have a strong supply chain management provider who understands e-commerce and is able to handle their distribution center’s logistics needs from end to end.”
