Service Announcements: Swiss WorldCargo, Con-way and Inchcape Shipping Services

Swiss WorldCargo increases its services via parent Swiss International Air Lines’ summer flights, Con-way Multimodal Expands in Bentonville, while Inchcape Shipping Services opens new office Mozambique.

   Swiss WorldCargo, the air cargo division of Swiss International Air Lines, has increased its services with the addition of the parent company’s summer flights. For example, the company will offer more cargo service opportunities in markets across North America and Asia, including flights to and from Chicago, San Francisco, Montreal and Beijing.
   The airline’s flights to and from Zurich will increase air cargo capacity for European destinations such as Dresden, Gothenburg, Helsinki, Krakow, Leipzig, Ljubljana, Naples, Porto, Sofia, Thessaloniki, Toulouse, Riga and Zagreb.

   The freight brokerage division of San Francisco-based Menlo Logistics, Con-way Multimodal, has relocated and expanded its office in Bentonville, Arkansas. According to a statement from the company, the larger facility will add 25 new jobs in the area.
   Con-way Multimodal opened its Bentonville offices in 2011 and since then has grown from six employees to 28, offering intermodal, full truckload and freight brokerage services. Headquartered in Frisco, Texas, the company also has U.S. offices in Ann Arbor, Mich. and Portland, Ore., as well as international operations in Amsterdam to serve the European market.

   Inchcape Shipping Services has opened a new office in Maputo, Mozambique, to provide coverage across all of the country’s main ports from Pemba in the north to Maputo in the south.
   ISS Mozambique officially opened for business on March 23, when it received its first agency nomination in the Port of Maputo as port agent for a gas oil discharger.
