SHIPCHEM NAMES CEO
ShipChem.com, the third-party logistics company launched last year by Eastman Chemical Co. and software maker Global Logistics Technologies Inc., has named Mark A. Kaiser chief executive officer, effective Sept. 5.
With experience leading and growing start-up companies, Kaiser was hired to spur rapid growth at ShipChem, which hopes to become a leading provider of online logistics services to the chemicals and plastics industry. Kaiser was chairman and CEO of a health care industry Internet start-up called Caredata.com. He also helped build Telecom*USA.
Barry Dale remains at ShipChem as president and chief operating officer. “In our intensive search for a chief executive officer, we focused on Mark for his strong abilities to lead a company through the critical start-up phase,” Dale said.
