Shipco boosts Australia LCL service

Shipco boosts Australia LCL service

Non-vessel-operating common carrier Shipco Transport has started a fortnightly direct less-than-containerload service between Adelaide, Australia, and Los Angeles.

'Cargo moves direct from Adelaide, cutting out the inland trucking to Melbourne, and arrives intact in Los Angeles,' the Hoboken, N.J.-based NVO said. 'Shipments will no longer need to be rehandled, reducing the risk for damage or loss during transit.'

The service has a 30-day transit via carrier ANL and compliments Shipco's four weekly services from Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney and Fremantle. Shipco expects a continued growth with the Australian export market and continues to develop services boosting connections to the United States.

Shipco is a subsidiary of Copenhagen-based Scan-Group, an international shipping and transportation company with more than 100 own offices and some 2,200 employees worldwide.
