Shipco expands LCL service to Denmark

   Non-vessel-operating common carrier Shipco Transport has expanded its direct weekly less-than containerload (LCL) activity with the start of two new services from Los Angeles and Atlanta to Denmark.
   With these new services, Shipco now offers a total of four direct LCL services between the United States and Denmark.
   Both services are to Aarhus, with the Los Angeles service having a port-to-port transit time of 22 days and Atlanta 13 days. Shipco has also enhanced its Chicago-to-Aarhus service with improved routing which has reduced transit time to 11 days port to port. The NVO’s existing services from New York to Aarhus and Copenhagen remain unchanged.
   “With the addition of the Los Angeles and Atlanta direct services, we are able to offer our customers faster and more reliable service options into Denmark,” said Niels Nielsen, vice president of LCL U.S. exports.
