Shipco restarts LCL service to Greece

Non-vessel-operating common carrier Shipco Transport has restarted its direct less-than-containerload service from New York to Piraeus, Greece, citing an uptake in cargo volumes to the Mediterranean from the United States.

The service will improve transit time from New York to 18 days port-to-port, the Hoboken, N.J.-based neutral NVO said. Shipco also offers on-carriage service to Athens and Thessaloniki. In addition, Shipco has picked a new partner in Greece, Eurogroup S.A., to manage its LCL service in the country.

Shipco is a subsidiary of Scan-Group, an international shipping and transportation company based in Copenhagen, Denmark, and has more than 1,500 employees worldwide.
