Shipco starts FCL service to Afghanistan

Shipco starts FCL service to Afghanistan    Shipco Transport, a Hoboken, N.J.-based non-vessel-operating common carrier, has started a weekly full-containerload service from the United States to Afghanistan.
   The eastbound INDAMEX route serves Kabul, Kandahar, Jalalabad and Bagram through Port Qasim, Pakistan. The service, which is provided via liner carrier CMA CGM, will link New York to the Karachi container hub in 32 days. Cargo will then continue onward to the four Afghanistan inland points via rail or truck.
   'Competitive transit times paired with own offices at origin and exclusive agents at destination provide for a complete solution for customers,' Shipco said in a statement.
   Shipco is a subsidiary of Scan-Group, an international shipping and transportation company headquartered in Copenhagen, with more than 1,500 employees in its own offices worldwide.
