Shortened rotation for MSC Med-ECSA loop    The rotation of a Mediterranean Shipping Co. service between the Mediterranean and the East Coast of South America is being amended, according to a customer notice from Maersk Line, which buys slots on the service.
   MSC's Mediterranean/Canaries/ECSA service, which Maersk and subsidiary Safmarine call Apollo, will have a new rotation of Buenos Aires, Rio Grande, Navegantes, Santos, Las Palmas, Valencia, Gioia Tauro, Genoa, Livorno, Valencia, Las Palmas, Santos, and Buenos Aires.
   Omitted are calls to the Brazilian ports of Sao Francisco do Sul, Itaguai, Suape, and Pecem and the Mediterranean ports of Barcelona and Marseilles-Fos. Those ports will be served via transshipment, Maersk said.
   According to American Shipper affiliate ComPair Data, the service is operated with eight MSC vessels with an average capacity of 5,121 TEUs.
