Switzerland-based Siemens Building Technologies will begin utilizing supply chain design software provider LLamasoft’s flagship Supply Chain Guru product.
Siemens Building Technologies will begin using supply chain design software from the solutions provider LLamasoft, the company said Thursday.
The business unit of Siemens, headquartered in Zug, Switzerland, will use LLamasoft’s Supply Chain Guru as its standard application for supply chain design. Siemens Building Technologies provides building automation, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) and energy management for environment-friendly buildings and infrastructures.
“We needed a strong modeling technology platform as well as a partner with a global presence to help guide us in building an innovative supply chain design,” said Sven Markert, senior vice president, supply chain logistics.”
Supply Chain Guru is fast-growing LLamasoft’s flagship application, providing an environment where companies can map out optimal transportation network, sourcing locations and trade management strategies on a continuous basis.
