Singapore Air manages Scoot’s cargo

Singapore Airlines Cargo will manage upstart air carrier Scoot’s bellyhold capacity.
Scoot is a new low-cost intra-Asia airline based in Singapore. The carrier will begin commercial flights in June, operating daily services between Singapore and Sydney, and five-times-weekly services between Singapore and Australia’s Gold Coast. In addition, it will operate four-times weekly to Tianjin in the second half of 2012.
On these routes, Scoot will use Boeing 777-200 planes with 10 tons of bellyhold capacity.
“The addition of Scoot’s bellyhold capacity and network will provide our customers with the benefits of a wider network, and more choices in terms of frequency and capacity,” said Singapore Airlines Cargo President Tan Kai Ping in a statement.
