SINGAPORE AIRLINES BUYS HALF OF ANSETT
Singapore Airlines said it will buy a 50 percent stake in Australian
airline Ansett Holdings for about $320 million in cash.
Singapore Air, which already owns small stakes in Delta Air Lines and
Swissair, is also looking to acquire an interest in Thai Airways and South
African Airways.
