Sinotrans chairman Bin resigns

   Chinese forwarding and shipping group Sinotrans Ltd. said its chairman and executive director Zhang Bin announced his resignation from the company at an extraordinary board meeting held Tuesday in Beijing.

   At the same time, the board proposed Zhao Huxiang to replace Bin. The proposed resignation and appointment will be submitted at the first extraordinary general meeting scheduled March 3.

   Before his appointment in Sinotrans, Huxiang worked for the Chinese government at the Marine Transportation Bureau of the Ministry of Communications. In December 2005, Huxiang was appointed general manager of China National Foreign Trade Transportation (Group) Corp., the government agency in charge of Sinotrans.
