SMC3, FreightCenter.com enter partnership

SMC3, FreightCenter.com enter partnership    Freight transportation software developer SMC³ and transportation management system provider FreightCenter.com announced a partnership that introduces a more advanced and all-inclusive TMS system.
   This alliance marks the integration of the SMC³ RateWare XL rating program along with CarrierConnect carrier data into the recently introduced FreightCenter.com TMS product. The FreightCenter.com TMS also provides access to PC* MILER through Rateware XL, which allows companies to access accurate mileage.
   RateWare XL combines carrier-specific rates with CarrierConnect points of service and transit times to provide a complete view of less-than-trailerload rating and pricing across a company. The service-oriented architecture for RateWare XL is completely Web-based, meaning there is no software to install during implementation. Data is continuously updated, ensuring accurate carrier data and rates that can be used for efficient route planning.
   The FreightCenter.com TMS offers complete backend technology that includes custom rates, automated quoting, booking, scheduling, and tracking, a built-in CRM system, flexible and secure controls for users and customers, and extensive reporting. Through its partnership with SMC³, FreightCenter.com's TMS will offer customers a more complete software package that includes accurate rating, mileage, and routing for shipping.
