Smulders to replace Martinelli as EGSAC president

Glauco Martinelli will May 1 retire as president of EGSAC, a network of independent air cargo general sales agencies.

He will be succeeded by Ton Smulders, current vice president, who is managing director of Dutch company Active Airline Representatives.

Since Martinelli took over from founding president Sean McCool in 2002, EGSAC has grown from 13 to 31 members, and has extended beyond its original European base to cover Bangladesh, India, Israel, Jordan, Pakistan, South Africa and Sri Lanka.
