SoCal ports release updated clean air plan
The ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach on Wednesday released an update to their sweeping San Pedro Bay Ports Clean Air Action Plan (CAAP), with more aggressive goals for reducing air pollution associated with goods movement in Southern California.
The draft 2010 CAAP Update was released in April, with the final version issued this week incorporating comments and changes. It is scheduled to be considered for approval in a joint meeting of the two ports' boards of harbor commissioners on Oct. 6.
The 2010 CAAP update, fact sheet and 'response to comments' document are available at www.cleanairactionplan.org, www.polb.com/caap or www.portoflosangeles.org.
