SOCP to meet Oct. 7-8

SOCP to meet Oct. 7-8

   The Ship Operations Cooperative Program will hold a meeting at Piney Point, Md., on Oct. 7-8.

   The agenda includes speakers U.S. Maritime Administrator William G. Schubert; Rear Adm. Thomas Gilmour, U.S. Coast Guard assistant commandant for marine safety and environment; Marjorie Murtagh of the National Transportation Safety Board; and Anil Mathur, chief executive officer of Alaska Tanker Co.

   Presentations will cover short-sea shipping, smart tow, intermodal freight opportunities on the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence Seaway, and container tracking technologies.
