Southern Air, LCCA enter agreement
Southern Air Holdings has entered an agreement with Lufthansa Cargo Charter Agency (LCCA) to provide one of its Boeing 747 freighters for the Lufthansa entity's services.
The agreement provides options for the parties to extend the contract, including consideration of other plane types from Southern Air's fleet, which comprises two new B777 freighters and 14 B747-200 freighters.
Southern Air has plans to add two new B777 freighters and several B747-400 freighters to its fleet.
Southern Air and LCCA have a long history of cooperation, including other ACMI (aircraft, complete crew, maintenance and insurance) agreements, cargo services and aircraft acquisitions.
