Spirit Airlines starts new Panama City flight
Spirit Airlines today starts a new nonstop flight service between Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and Panama City, Panama.
The Miramar, Fla.-based low-cost airline will initially offer three flights a week, then increase the service to daily effective May 1. The new flight also serves as a connector service to Panama for the rest of the air carrier's U.S. domestic flight network.
Spirit also said it will expand its Caribbean services with an added flight to Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, in the coming weeks.
'Our passengers have spoken and we're giving them what they want — more ultra-low fares to even more destinations throughout the U.S., Latin America, and the Caribbean,' said Barry Biffle, Spirit senior vice president and chief marketing officer.
