States Logistics puts sun to work    States Logistics Services has installed a 363-kilowatt solar power system on the roof of its distribution center in Buena Park, Calif., which will produce up to 82 percent of the facility's electricity needs.
   States Logistics is a third-party logistics services provider on West Coast, offering warehousing, transportation and packaging.
   Developed and installed by SPG Solar, the solar energy system consists of more than 1,000 solar panels and is projected to generate more than 560,000 kilowatt hours annually, which is equivalent to providing electricity to 51 average U.S. homes year after year.
   State Logistics said the solar installation would reduce its electricity expenses and demand on the grid by up to $76,500 annually.
