STB announces appointments
The U.S. Surface Transportation Board has named W. Douglas Buttrey vice chairman, succeeding member Francis P. Mulvey, who served in that position during 2006. The vice chairmanship rotates among the members on an annual basis.
Scott M. Zimmerman has been named attorney-advisor. Since February 2006 he has served in the STB's Office of the General Counsel. Before joining the agency, he practiced transportation and regulatory law as a partner at the law firm of Zuckert, Scoutt & Rasenberge in Washington.
Alice C. Saylor has been named chief of staff. She has served on the staff of the STB's Office of the General Counsel since August 2001.
