Stern joins Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg

Stern joins Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg Customs attorney Deborah Stern has joined the Miami firm of Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg.
   Stern, a Floridian who spent five years at U.S. Customs and Border Protection in Washington before returning to Florida in 2006, joined the firm Feb. 12. She had been with the firm Becker & Poliakoff in Fort Lauderdale, and prior to that was in the CBP's Office of Regulations & Rulings, working in the Tariff Classification and Marking Branch and the International Agreements staff.
   She was also a delegate to the World Customs Organization, where she advocated U.S. government and industry interests on international tariff classification disputes and legal amendments to the Harmonized System.
