Stolt splits parcel tankers, containers    Stolt-Nielsen S.A. has announced a reorganization separating its parcel tanker and terminal business from its tank container businesses.
   Stolt-Nielsen Transportation Group will become two separate business units: Stolt Tankers & Terminals and Stolt Tank Containers.
   The company said the new structure will allow one group to focus on the global operational synergies between the tankers and terminals, while the tank container unit pursues a targeted growth strategy and markets worldwide. The groups will share human resources, computer and financial resources.
   The company’s aquaculture business, Stolt Sea Farm will be unaffected.
   The change will “enhance our ability to achieve competitive advantage and support the successful implementation of our global growth strategy,” said Niels Stolt-Nielsen, Stolt's chief executive officer.
