ST&R adds advisor in Miami office

The law and trade advisory firm Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg has hired J.J. Piskadlo as a government relations advisor in its Miami office.

Prior to joining ST&R, Piskadlo was a senior policy advisor to Rep. Jim Davis, the former congressman who lost to Gov. Charlie Crist in Florida's 2006 gubernatorial election. Piskadlo worked for Davis for nine years, directed legislative and appropriations activities for the congressman in the areas of trade, international relations, agriculture, telecommunications, technology, transportation, defense, immigration and veterans’ affairs. He also advised Davis on all international relations issues and coordinated all of his trade and international-related legislative initiatives, including helping to pass trade promotion authority and the U.S. free trade agreements with Singapore, Chile and Australia, according to a biography provided by the firm.

In Miami, he will be working to enhance the area presence of the firm's trade negotiations and legislative affairs practice.
